- Ensure everyone on your team is on the same page.
Does the team share a vision? Does everyone know their individual and collective roles in making that vision a reality?
- Measure progress.
Communicate how progress is to be measured (and why). Ensure each member of the team has clear and visible access to the progress being measured.
- Expect excellence.
See the best in people and see your role as believing in them and supporting them to be the best they can be.
- Encourage creativity.
Effortless teamwork is not about everyone in the team doing the same thing day in day out. Recognise the unique gifts and talents of each person in the team and encourage creativity, innovation and free thinking.
- Communicate openly and honestly.
How you communicate with your team sets an example for how they communicate with you. Be transparent, actively seek feedback and take the time to listen.
